Marcos Escapes Again Ex-PDEA Agent Can’t Recall Source Behind Document Leak

Jonathan Morales, a former agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), has said that he is unable to recollect the name of a secret informant. This new development has caused shockwaves to be generated in the political sphere. According to the allegations, this informant is responsible for the document leak that triggered the issue over the relationship between President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and actress Maricel Soriano’s drug use.

The probe being conducted by the Senate is becoming more and more intense.

On account of the fact that Morales was unable to recollect the identity of the informant during an examination by a Senate committee, both the dependability of Morales and the veracity of the files that were leaked have come under scrutiny. Some members of the Senate have questioned Morales’ motivations and the possible damage that the claims could cause to their reputations as a result of the matter, which has caused a controversial discussion within the Senate.

Presently Being Considered Documents

It is asserted that the documents in question, which were leaked, demonstrate a connection between President Marcos Jr. and drug use, which dates back to an anti-drug operation that took place in 2012. Several investigations have been conducted to determine the authenticity of these documents; the Director General of the PDEA, Moro Virgilio Lazo, has determined that they are false.

It is possible that the investigation that is currently being carried out will have significant repercussions if Morales is unable to recall the source. In addition, it raises concerns over the safety of informants who are not known to the general public, as well as the precision of information that has the potential to influence public opinion and national politics.
