Mary on Netflix: Biblical coming-of-age epic

To be honest, faith-based films usually struggle to reach a bigger audience. This year’s most important Christmas film appears to be ‘Mary’. It dropped on Netflix just recently. The film tells much the same story as ‘Journey to Bethlehem’, but takes a different approach.

This biblical coming-of-age epic is all about Mary’s journey to give birth to Jesus Christ. The film has “a miraculous conception, a merciless king and a murderous pursuit,” according to Netflix. It stars Noa Cohen, Ido Tako and Anthony Hopkins in key roles.
