Michelle Dee and Miss Universe Thailand: Just Friends or More?

Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee has finally spoken up about her closeness with Miss Universe Thailand Anntonia Porsild, which sparked rumors of a romantic relationship between the two beauty queens.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Wednesday, Dee said that she and Porsild are just good friends who bonded over their shared interests and humor during the Miss Universe 2023 pageant in El Salvador.

“We were just really close. We had so much in common. Our sarcasm, our humor. We could relate to being super kalog,” Dee said.

She added that they did not expect to be linked together by their fans, who coined the term #PorDeeUniverse for their friendship.

“It was just something that happened naturally. We didn’t plan it. We didn’t think that people would react that way. But we’re happy that people saw our genuine connection,” she said.

Dee also clarified that she is not in a relationship with anyone at the moment, and that she is focusing on her career and advocacies.

“I’m single right now. I’m not dating anyone. I’m just enjoying my life and doing what I love,” she said.

Dee, who finished in the Top 10 of the Miss Universe 2023 pageant, also expressed her gratitude to Porsild for being a supportive friend throughout their journey.

“She was always there for me. She was always cheering me on. She was always giving me advice. She was like a sister to me,” she said.

Porsild, who was the first runner-up of the Miss Universe 2023 pageant, also shared the same sentiments about Dee in a previous interview with CNN Philippines.

“She’s amazing. She’s so funny. She’s so smart. She’s so beautiful. She’s everything,” Porsild said of Dee.

The two beauty queens also vowed to attend each other’s crown turnover in the Philippines and Thailand in 2024.
