NHK Announced the Suspension of Broadcasting ‘Close-Up Gendai’! Here is the Reason

The cancellation of the ongoing program ‘Close-Up Gendai’ in the NHK Japan has been announced officially by the broadcaster itself. This has been scheduled for the 7.30 pm streaming of the renowned actor and musician Fukuyama Masaharu’s heartfelt interview in “My Soul Will Not Be Taken Away – Masaharu Fukuyama: Resonating Songs and Peace”. On this show it has been planned to commemorate the eighty years of the atomic bombing through the soul stirring songs enforcing universal themes like peace.

All the scheduled broadcast has been interrupted by the unfortunate earthquake with the magnitude of 8.7 that hit the Kamchatka Peninsula region of Russia and it spread to the coastal countries like Japan, U.S. and Hawaii. The reports of trustable sources state that this magnitude will fall under the top 10 horrible earthquakes that have taken place in Russia since 1900. This will clearly underpin the impact of today’s natural disruption. And to enforce the serious evacuation information to the people, the JMA (Japan Meteorological Agency) has upgraded this into a tsunami advisory through such broadcasters as NHK. And they also prioritized the need of spreading awareness during such emergencies in the country. The rescheduled date of this program will soon be revealed by themselves.
