This feat highlights the reception of appealing and uncomplicated storytelling that reawakened the idea within the creators. We are living in a world of streaming platforms in diverse languages that are bloated with multiverse, revenge thriller, and algorithm driven contents, this sequel has reverted back to the cinematic language that was unconsciously forgotten in years. The striking element which contributed to this massive success is initially the actor Adam Sandler himself. Followed by the punchlines that resonated warmth, and the plot which has been grounded and not overrated with cliches. These factors have made the fans realise what they have been missing all these years without even knowing it. The humor worked well for it not being explainable but straight and nutshell. Also, viewers enjoyed the slices of life that were served in the menu of ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ which includes golf, grief, second chances and simple expressive emotions. In the end, this movie stands out as a nostalgic feast for the viewers who are fond of feel good and light hearted movies.
