PAGASA announced on February 7, 2026, that Tropical Depression “Basyang” (Intl. “PENHA”) weakened into a low-pressure area (LPA) by 2:00 AM, fully dissipating by 8:00 AM. Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals (TCWS) No. 1 were all called off throughout the area of the Visayas and Mindanao and Samar and Dinagat Island, and Surigao, which were further south and had initially been under minimal threat.
