Provincial Government Monitors 115 Citizens of DKI, Anies: We All Have to Standby

The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta is monitoring 115 people and 32 people are under surveillance scattered in five regions of DKI Jakarta. The residents are being monitored because they have initial symptoms and a history of travel from countries infected with the corona virus.

According to DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, patients who are under surveillance and supervision are based on the results of epidemiological investigations (PE). But until now, no patient has tested positive for COVID-19 or Corona virus in DKI Jakarta.

Anies also appealed to residents not to be provoked by the issues that were scattered on social media related to the spread of COVID-19 or Corona virus in DKI Jakarta and asked residents to remain calm and active as usual.

That is because the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has coordinated with the Indonesian Ministry of Health and immediately formed a response team for the vigilance and prevention of the spread of the corona virus.

“I urge the public not to panic, not to over-react. We all must be on standby, “said Anies at the Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service Office in Jakarta, Sunday (1/3).

“I hope to all the people to carry out activities as usual, calm, and not to spread the news that has not been confirmed,” said the former Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia.

On the same occasion, Anies asked residents to regularly wash their hands and wear masks if they catch a cold or cough.

“I invite all people to increase the intensity of washing hands, wash their hands more often even though they do not feel dirty. That’s the best prevention. If you have a cough or flu, then use a mask, “said Anies.

As is known, Anies has issued a Governor Instruction on being alert to the risk of transmission of Corona Virus Disease infection (Covid-19). Governor Instruction Number 16 of 2020 was signed by Anies on Thursday (25/2) then.

In the Governor Instruction, Anies instructed all levels of staff from assistants, mayors, regents, offices, sub-district heads, heads of villages, agencies, bureaus, to heads of hospitals and health centers to socialize the spread of this virus.
