Singapore has once again positioned itself at the forefront of innovation in the tourism sector with the introduction of the SkyOrb, the world’s first spherical cable car cabins. These futuristic cabins are set to elevate the experience of visitors traveling between Mount Faber and Sentosa Island.
The SkyOrb cabins, with their distinctive chrome finish and spherical design, break away from traditional cable car aesthetics. They offer passengers a 360-degree panoramic view of the stunning Singapore skyline through their glass-bottomed floors.
The launch of the SkyOrb cabins coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Singapore Cable Car. This milestone reflects Singapore’s commitment to product innovation and creating unique experiences for guests.
Starting from March 20, 2024, visitors can enjoy the SkyOrb experience with an additional fee on top of the standard cable car fare. The cost is set at $15 per person on weekdays and $20 on weekends and public holidays.
As Singapore continues to welcome a growing number of visitors, the SkyOrb cabins are not just a new attraction but a symbol of the city-state’s innovative spirit and dedication to offering memorable experiences.
