Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto begin launching the Pre-Employment Card (Kartu Pra kerja) on Friday (3/20/2020). The card will be trialled amid conditions of the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia which threatens a number of employees experiencing Termination of Work (PHK).
Considering the current conditions are still not conducive enough, this trial will be carried out by online and will focus on four areas that have been considered from the level of many layoffs, namely Bali, Surabaya, North Sulawesi, and the Riau Islands.
“Certainly because of the situation of the spread of Covid-19, we encourage it to be held by online first. But later offline training is available in several areas, “Airlangga said, Friday (3/20).
He explained after the launch of the Pre-Employment Card, government will do socialization for the next two weeks. After that, registration through the official website www.prakerja.go.id will be available.
Airlangga hopes that the community will be able to choose, study and decide which training they will take.
In order to the training opportunities are wide open, the government limits training to only be applied once to each participant. It means, participants who have attended the training cannot register again.
“Because it is expected that the public can be careful in choosing,” he said.
In efforts to improve the community welfare, the government also cooperates with 11 partners, namely Ruangguru, Tokopedia, Bukalapak, What We Want to Learn, Pihar Advanced, Sisnaker, School, and Pintaria. Then, partners in the payment sector, namely OVO, LinkAja, and BRI.
