Today, October 3, Joo Chiat Street Social 2026 will open one of the most iconic heritage neighbourhoods of Singapore – Joo Chiat Road – to the public and runs from 3.30pm to 9.30pm with no cars allowed. Over 80 local vendors will be on the street, offering food, specialty coffee, music, crafts and wellness activities, along with pet friendly pop-ups.

The best way to walk on a Joo Chiat cafe trail is from the East Coast Road end, towards Dunman Road, stopping at the food and drink pop ups.

Joo Chiat Street Social 2026: Best Cafe and Food Trail

The festival runs along East Coast Road and Dunman Road, the experiences play out on the other side. There is an official programme with Music Zone, Picnic Zone, Fitness Zone, Kids/Art Zone and Pet Zone.

1. Start with Coffee and Neighbourhood Bites

The starting point for this late afternoon food crawl is easy around the East Coast Road end, with the Music area and Picnic area providing an easy starting point.

If you’re a coffee lover, one of the names you should watch out for is Kings Cart Coffee. The local concept blends specialty coffee with the Joo Chiat Oyster House identity, which will be appropriate for coffee shop visitors wanting to transition to evening food and beverage.

Other food stops include:

  • 808 Eating House – Flower Crab Chips & Dip and craft drinks
  • Dona Manis – signature Banana Pie and banana-themed treats
  • Smokey’s BBQ – Texas-style brisket, ribs and barbecue
  • Base Gelato – Singapore-inspired ice-cream flavours

The festival is free to enter, although selected activities and merchant offers may have their own conditions.

2. Try Something Beyond Cafes

Joo Chiat Street Social 2026 is not just a food festival because of its appeal. A temporary marketplace for local creative businesses and neighbourhood brands becomes the road.

In GOOODHOOOD by Hello Arigato, visitors can enjoy local art, music and community activities. There will be planned activities including limited complimentary portraits by local illustrators, a community floor mural, and more.

Another interesting stop is IN GOOD COMPANY where you will find dog treats as well as a special Durian Daifuku from MIURA and botanical gelato from Birds of Paradise.

If you prefer something more hands-on, 3Arts Pottery has some easy clay projects for the novice, and other Kids/Art Zone merchants are providing creative workshops.

3. Finish at the Dunman Road End

The Dunman Road side focuses more heavily on pets and heartland living.

Expect pet-friendly shopping, agility activities, paw portraits, adoption education and other animal-focused experiences. This makes the end of the trail particularly suitable for visitors bringing dogs.

Joo Chiat Street Social 2026: Community Pass and Vouchers

Joo Chiat Street Social is open to the public. The official organiser states that Community Passes are being offered via participating merchants, so please be aware these are limited.

Participant who have passed will get a free welcome drink for the first time. Other fun, engaging activities include playing games and engaging in heritage challenges to earn S$5 merchant vouchers for participating businesses.

Visitors should not take it for granted that a pass or voucher will be available all night as quantities are limited.
