The half rotation is crucial for Barangay Ginebra in the 2026 PBA Governors’ Cup as they struggle to get through the quarter-finals. The Gin Kings took a 106-89 win over Phoenix on Oct. 18 to improve to 4-5 in Group B. The Ginebra 2026 PBA Playoff Rotation has been shifted to Jordan Murphy, Scottie Thompson, RJ Abarrientos and an all-round front line.

Ginebra 2026 Playoff Rotation: Jordan Murphy’s Impact

Ginebra’s interior scoring and rebounding has been bolstered by Import Jordan Murphy. The 6-foot-6 forward scored 28 points and grabbed 13 rebounds vs. Phoenix. His team rebounded from a period of being down by the numbers, helping to bring the team back into the playoff picture, according to Tiebreaker Times.

Scottie Thompson and RJ Abarrientos Control the Backcourt

Scottie Thompson scored 29 points, added 10 rebounds and six assists to his game against Phoenix. RJ Abarrientos meanwhile brings in ball handling, tempo control and perimeter shooting. They complement each other well and will provide coach Tim Cone with more flexibility during half-court possession and transition attacks.

Japeth Aguilar and Ginebra’s Frontcourt Depth

Japeth Aguilar led the scoring off the bench with 12 points and 10 rebounds to go around the basket with Murphy. Troy Rosario adds another frontcourt option, Jeremiah Gray adds wing scoring. Their efforts may be needed to handle the defensive assignments and rebounding pressure on Ginebra.
