Adipurush Box Office Collection Day 3: Film Crosses Rs 200 Crore Mark

Adipurush, a 2023 Indian mythological action film based on the Hindu epic Ramayana, has gone past Rs 200 crore nett in its opening weekend. The film has been receiving backlash but it is still performing well at the box office. 

The film, directed by Om Raut and produced by Om Raut, Bhushan Kumar, Prasad Sutar, and Krishan Kumar, stands at around Rs 216 crore nett after three days at the Box Office. 

The film crossed over Rs 300 crore mark worldwide. On June 18, it earned nearly Rs 64 crore in the Republic of India. However, it reported around a 25 per cent drop from its opening day collection.

On the first day, the Telugu version of the film made Rs 48 crore nett. On the second day, the film made around Rs 26 crore. The Hindi version of the film had an occupancy of 61.75 per cent on Sunday at the box office. It made Rs 37 crore nett on all three days.

Saturday: Rs 65.25 crore

Adipurush stars Prabhas Raju, known mononymously as Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. The film features Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage in supporting roles. The film has been made on a massive budget of Rs 500 crore. The film is distributed by AA Films.

The film has been receiving negative reviews from critics and audiences due to dialogues and certain scenes. Many fans expressed displeasure over the plot of the movie. They claimed that the movie is not based on the real Hindu epic Ramayana.

Various fans also expressed disappointment and displeasure through memes on Twitter. Some fans called the portrayal of the characters pathetic. Some also complained about the VFX quality of the film.

The real test for the film will start on Monday.
