Apple’s “Awe-Dropping” Event: iPhone 17, iPhone Air, Apple Watch, and AirPods Pro 3 Redefine the Lineup

Apple’s September 9, 2025, event was every bit as awesome as it was advertised as “awe-dropping.” The tech giant unveiled a new line of products, led by the iPhone 17 series, an ultra-thin iPhone Air, new Apple Watches, and the third generation of AirPods Pro. Apple’s products are feeling premium and pack smarts via AI, all while working on health deeper than ever before. Apple has carved a path to lead in its ecosystem for the next 10 years.

iPhone 17 Series: A Major Redesign

The iPhone 17 lineup represents the most substantial redesign to Apple’s iPhone lineup in several years, thanks in large part to the iPhone Air.

The Air was the most talked about phone in the new lineup as it is the thinnest iPhone by far, at just 5.6 mm thick, titanium body, a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display, and ProMotion at 120 Hz. Powered by the faster A19 Pro chip, the Air also features nearly double the durability of previous iPhone models with Ceramic Shield 2.

The iPhone 17, which is not much thicker than the Air, has a 6.3-inch ProMotion display, a 48 MP main cam, and an A19 chip that is battery efficient.

The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max raise the bar with vapor-chamber cooling, an advanced triple 48 MP “Fusion” camera array, and 8x optical-quality zoom. Pro video capabilities include ProRes RAW and Apple Log 2, bringing cinematic production tools to the pocket.

Apple has also offered standard features across the entire iPhone 17 lineup, including ProMotion displays, 256 GB of base storage, and some new AI-based features found in iOS 26, including Adaptive Power Mode and dual-camera recording.

AirPods Pro 3: Smarter Than Ever

The AirPods Pro 3rd generation offers substantial improvements beyond sound. Active noise cancellation is improved upon by health-tracking functions such as heart-rate monitoring. With live translation, better spatial audio, and up to eight hours of battery life these AirPods Pro can be called a combination of lifestyle and health also.

Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3, and SE 3. The same goes for Apple’s wearables; Apple Watch Series 11 is the thinnest of the lineup to date. It offers AI-powered hypertension detection, Sleep Score insights, and 5G, along with a full 1-day battery life.

Apple Watch Ultra 3 caters to adventurers. It offers satellite connectivity, a brighter LTPO3 OLED display, and up to 72 hours of battery life.

Apple Watch SE 3 offers the best of what the Apple watch has to offer at an entry price point. It now has an Always-On display, temperature sensing, and gesture controls.

Global Pricing

Apple shocked lots of people by holding U.S. prices firm despite tariff pressures. The full price for the iPhone 17 starts at $799, while the futuristic iPhone Air starts at $999. The Pro and Pro Max start at $1,099 and $1,199, respectively. AirPods Pro 3 will retail for $249, with the Watch Series 11 starting at $399, SE 3 starting at $249, and Ultra 3 at $799.

In India, the iPhone 17 starts at ₹82,900, with the iPhone Air starting at ₹1,19,900. The Pro models go beyond ₹1,34,900, with the 2 TB iPhone 17 Pro Max going over ₹2,29,900. AirPods Pro 3 will retail for ₹25,900.

In Malaysia, the price for the iPhone 17 256 GB version is RM 3,999, and the AirPods Pro 3 is priced at RM 999. In Singapore, AirPods Pro 3 prices are S$349 (but the iPhone prices haven’t been confirmed). For Thailand, Apple has not released official iPhone 17 series prices yet. Apple’s AirPods models in Thailand are expected to range from ฿4,790 to ฿6,290.

Why This Event Was Truly “Awe-Dropping”

Apple’s September 2025 showcase wasn’t just another yearly refresh—it was a reinvention. The iPhone Air’s ultra-thin titanium chassis is a remarkable engineering feat. Health and AI have become integrated with Apple’s family of devices, from hypertension detection and health monitoring on Watches to heart-rate sensors in AirPods and adaptive performance extremes on iPhones. For example, even the most basic iPhone 17 comes with many premium features traditionally available only on Pro models (like Pro-Motion) along with high-end camera capabilities.

By combining cutting-edge design with clever features and maintaining U.S. prices, Apple has created a new standard of innovation and Technology for other brands in the consumer tech industry.
