BTS’ Jimin Makes History: ‘MUSE’ Sets New Billboard Record for K-pop Soloists

Jimin from BTS established a new record by making ‘MUSE’ the most prolonged album appearance of any Korean solo artist on the Billboard 200. Billboard confirmed recently that the album continues its Billboard 200 run at 30 weeks and maintains position No. 132. K-pop history recorded its first solitary achievement of these Billboard specifications when Jimin accomplished this record as a Korean solo artist.

The seven-track album continues to dominate the music charts by spending more time on the Billboard 200 than BTS member Jungkook’s ‘GOLDEN’ which stayed for 25 weeks. The album’s leading single ‘Who’ has proven successful by staying at Billboard’s Hot 100 for 29 non-consecutive weeks and currently stands at position No. 40. Who stands at the fourth position among the longest-running K-pop solo tracks in Billboard’s Hot 100 history behind BTS’ Dynamite, PSY’s Gangnam Style and FIFTY FIFTY’s Cupid.

The musical masterpiece ‘MUSE’ has reached position No. 2 on Billboard’s World Albums chart while maintaining its place for its 30th successful week in a row. The lead single ‘Who’ continues its successful performance across different Billboard charts where it occupies position No. 26 on Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. and No. 28 on Streaming Songs. The accomplishment stands out because Jimin now leads all K-pop soloists and members of BTS in reaching 30 weeks on the charts.
