Boyfriend on Demand: BLACKPINK's Jisoo and Seo In Guk confirmed for Netflix drama
Netflix has significantly toughened its game this year, releasing back-to-back K-drama hits such as Squid Game Season 2 and Trauma Code: Heroes On Call. K-pop girl group BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is preparing for her upcoming drama ‘Boyfriend on Demand’.
This high-concept drama also stars Seo In Guk – earlier seen in Cafe Minamdang and Death’s Game – in the lead role. He is playing Park Kyeong Nam, an exhausted webtoon producer. He finds romance through a subscription-based Virtual Reality dating programme.
Jisoo is playing Seo Mi Rae, a career-oriented producer. Her life takes an unexpected turn as she gets a ‘Monthly Boyfriend’ device that lets her date seemingly perfect virtual suitors, according to media reports.
It must be highlighted here that Mi Rae and Kyeong Nam are colleagues. They do their tasks together but the female protagonist feels uneasy around him. Nonetheless, despite his cold nature, the male protagonist has multiple layers to his character.
