Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2026: Official Dates, Riverfront Ticket Booking Rules, and Best Budget Hotels in Central Vietnam

Da Nang International Fireworks Festival is back for 2026 with the largest edition yet. This world-famous summer event will bring an awesome display of utilizing the massive pyrotechnic battle, live music and a newly designed Mega Dome stage on the Han River water-front in Da Nang.

This year, DIFF 2026, which will be held under the Banner “Da Nang – Connected Horizons”, will have 10 fireworks teams from nine countries competing. This is not only helping to promote Da Nang as one of the top places to visit during the summer months in Southeast Asia, but it is also bolstering the local tourism industry.

There is already a ‘gentle leaving wave’ off the back of tickets on sale soon, meaning visitors have already been planning hotel fees and itineraries for festivals months ahead of time.

Official DIFF 2026 Dates and Competition Schedule

The Da Nang DIFF festival officially opens May 30, 2026 and culminates with six key Saturday night events until July 11, 2026.

This series of shows follow a theme each event night giving a combination of cultural storytelling, synchronized fireworks and music performances. The gates are typically open around 5:00 PM and the fireworks competitions start when live entertainment events start in the evening.

Opening night is Vietnam against China in the “Nature” category, and on the final day of the competition on July 11 the final two teams will battle for the championship, with the team with the most points getting to enjoy its victory.

There are also shows from France, Japan, Italy, Germany, Macau, Australia and Portugal in 2026 which ensures the festival is truly international.

Why is DIFF 2026 Expected to Be Bigger Than Ever?

For the 2026 edition, the festival’s biggest stage ever builds the largest one with a 40m Mega Dome of the Han River.

Now, the event has grown to be one of the largest drivers in tourism in Vietnam during the summer period. The event has gradually become Vietnam’s largest tourist attraction in summer months. With a host of fireworks displays, live entertainment, riverside nights and beach vacations, it’s no surprise today’s international clientele travels for DIFF alone.

In addition, travel experts say that Da Nang provides a more budget-friendly festival experience than numerous other fireworks destinations around the globe, which makes it an appealing destination for young travellers and regional tourists.

Riverfront Grandstand Ticket Booking Rules

The grandstands with tickets are situated on Tran Hung Dao street in Son Tra district directly opposite the area for Han river launches.

Tickets costs are the highest for Opening night and the grand finale because of the high number of people attending. In general, the actual price of premium VVIP sections can be up to 4,000,000 VND and the price of the standard grandstand is in the range of 1,000,000 – 2,000,000 VND depending on the event night.

Travelers are strongly cautioned, however, to refrain from using any non official resellers. To avoid any fraudulent or fake QR codes, authorities urge immediate buying through official DIFF booking platforms and only from verified platforms.

Online payment will generate a digital QR code which can then be sent to the visitor through email and exchanged for entry at the show gates the day of the event.

Combo Packages Can Save Travelers Money

There are many official travel partners providing packages that allow DIFF grandstand tickets together with the entrance ticket to main attractions such as ones in the Ba Na Hills and the Golden Bridge.

These are also selling more and more often as they cut down on sightseeing expenses and ensure your attendance to the fireworks exhibition on busy weekends.

Having a combo pass can be more cost-effective for it, for people who already intend to see what Da Nang has to offer.

Best Budget Hotels For Diff 2026

Nearby to the Han River hotels and motels tend to charge high prices during the festival season. But some low-cost little hotels that abide in Da Nang center still possess wonderful prices.

Wing House Da Nang is another good choice for tourists who desire easy city-center access to attractions and eateries — but not riverfront prices.

Another popular and well rated hotel is Sanouva Danang Hotel which offers well rested rooms, Jacuzzis and convenient access to festival viewing areas.

With its lively atmosphere and budget-friendly rates located near the river district, it’s no wonder that Posiki Dorm & Cafe is a popular choice for solo travelers and backpackers alike.

For those who love the beach, Sea Kite Hotel near My Khe Beach is a better choice which offers visitors to enjoy beach activities during the day and festivals at night as well.
