Zelenskyy Welcomes Ukrainian Prisoners
On 19 April 2025, yet another milestone and a significant humanitarian action has been carried out by the UAE with the collaborative cooperation between the nations Russia and Ukraine. The Ukrainian President has officially rolled out the breaking news about the return of 277 Ukrainian defenders from the captivity of Russia. And this historical exchange became possible with the unparalleled efforts of UAE which has been acknowledged by Zelenskyy on his happy notes.
“Our people are home one of the best pieces of news that can be. Another 277 warriors have returned home from Russian captivity.
I thank everyone who made this return of our people possible. I am especially grateful to the United Arab Emirates for their meditation” – said Ukrainian President, Zelenskyy.
During this operation a total number of 4,552 has been exchanged from Russia to their home land Ukraine since 2022. This news sounds more positive as it is coming after the Easter weekend, which adds an emotional connection to the individuals who have arrived their including the Armed forces, National Guard, State Special Transport Service and the other border guards.
