PAGASA announced on February 7, 2026, that Tropical Depression “Basyang” (Intl. “PENHA”) weakened into a low-pressure area (LPA) by 2:00 AM, fully dissipating by 8:00 AM. Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals (TCWS) No. 1 were all called off throughout the area of the Visayas and Mindanao and Samar and Dinagat Island, and Surigao, which were further south and had initially been under minimal threat. No new LPAs monitored. The weather changes to fair on Sunday, but there are isolated rainshowers brought by easterlies, partly cloudy to cloudy skies, and light winds. The east seaboards continue to have rough seas; small vessels are warned. Impact Minor flooding, landslides; 3 killed, almost 391,000 people in Caraga affected.
The eastern parts look to have solitary thunderstorms, whereas the remainder looks solitary, sunny to partly sunny. Temperatures 24-32°C; light to moderate winds from east-northeast.
