The Singapore Tourism Board and the Milken Institute have agreed to sign an MoU that will see the Milken Institute Asia Summit held in Singapore until the year 2028. Since this agreement, both organizations will carry on their successful partnership, guaranteeing the event is an important gathering for international figures from business and government.

Since its launch in Singapore in 2014, the Asia Summit will be a place where leaders discuss main challenges facing Asia and explore ways to address them. Worldwide business leaders, major government officials, senior investors from large institutions and philanthropists join the Forum every year. At the same time as Singapore’s Formula One event, the summit reflects the city-state’s combination of top business with powerful entertainment.

A Stronger Partnership to Foster Dialogue

The STB’s close partnership with the Milken Institute is clear from the group’s choice to keep its flagship Asia Summit in Singapore for the next three years. From the start, this alliance has advanced, marked by a smooth period of working together when COVID-19 hit. Since it was first organized in 2020 with some live sessions and some online, the approach has inspired future conferences by bringing together 200 people on-site and 1,100 online.

Richard Ditizio, CEO of the Milken Institute, said that reaching Singapore is essential for the organization. Since it established its Asia headquarters in Singapore in 2014, the Milken Institute has used the city’s access to Asia to work with officials from different countries. Ditizio proudly confirmed that he will lead the participation in the Singapore-based summit until 2028.

Singapore’s Position as a Premier Destination

Melissa Ow, chief executive of Singapore Tourism Board, welcomed the expanded partnership and pointed out how Singapore is now a leading hub for business and innovation in global-Asia. Ow stressed that Singapore is the perfect hub for the Asia-Pacific and can easily help arrange and manage high-impact events that bring together different industries. Singapore’s position as the World’s Best MICE City results from their ongoing cooperation with Milken Institute and the nearly 400 influential leaders it brings together annually.
