The World Governments Summit 2025: “Shaping Future Governments”

Under the theme of “Shaping Future Governments” the UAE is organising the 12th edition of World Governments Summit which will take place in Dubai from February 11 to 13, 2025. According to the given information, the expected attendee of this year’s summit is expected to increase by 50% who hail from the diverse sectors of the various continents. 

The following are the key themes of “World Governments Summit 2025”,

  • Global Health Transformations
  • Climate, and Crisis Mitigation
  • Financing the future and the Global Economy
  • Policies for Effective Governance and Accountability
  • Human Centric Futures and Capacity Building

Over 200 interactive sessions will take place hosted by 30 heads of State and government from 80 international organisations, and 140 government delegations. The expected participants who will attend this summit is estimated as 6000.

“The World Government Summit has achieved its prominent status through a unique and forward-thinking vision. This vision prioritises proactive future planning as the foundation of effective governance, focusing on empowering individuals and developing thriving communities. It champions international partnerships and collaboration as the most effective way to achieve common goals and ensure prosperity” said Al Gergawi, while addressing the key themes on Wednesday.

During his address, he announced the world leaders who are going to participate in the summit of 2025.

  • Andrzrej Duda – President of Republic of Poland
  • Anura Kumara Dissanayake – President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka
  • Gustavo Francisco Petro  Urrego – President of the Republic of Colombia
  • Bernardo Arevalo – President of the Republic of Guatemala
  • Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Sabah – Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait
  • Mohammad Younus – Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh
  • Musalia Mudavadi – Prime Minister of the Republic of Kenya
