UAE President and Indonesian Defense Minister Strengthen Defense Relations and Celebrate Order of Zayed Award

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Indonesia have advanced considerably in the process of forging their bilateral defense cooperation throughout the last few months. This most current development is the outcome of a high-level meeting between Indonesia’s Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

During a recent meeting held in Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, welcomed Prabowo Subianto, the Minister of Defense and the upcoming President of Indonesia. The summit in Abu Dhabi had as its main goal raising the degree of collaboration between the military forces of the two participating nations. Multiple topics were discussed during the talk, such as intelligence sharing, defense sector cooperation, and joint military exercises. 

Both sides to the dispute have emphasized the need of preserving peace and security in the area, especially in view of the continuous struggle against terrorism and extremism.
