Women’s Euro 2025: Full Squads Revealed for Top Contenders

With the anticipation that surrounds the UEFA Women Euro 2025, national teams in Europe officially announced the presence of their squads in the esteemed occasion that will begin in Switzerland on July 2. And as all of the powerful nations of the football world (England, Spain, Germany and France) announced their final 23-man squads, it is apparent that the competition is as intense as it has ever been within the history of the tournament.

Women Euro 2025 will be the 14 th edition of a continental showpiece. Occurring once in every four years, it is seen as the ultimate event in the European women football. The championship is due to be held in eight cities across Switzerland with the final being marked by the legendary St. Jakob-Park stadium in Basel July 27.

Battle of Titans: Eyes on England and Spain

The defending champions England takes a team full of experience in the Premier League and international setup. They will also be relying on solid names such as Lauren James (Chelsea) and Alessia Russo (Arsenal) who have played a major role in recent international success with the Lionesses. In the meantime, Leah Williamson returns to the starting line-up after injury to provide the spine to the defense. Spain who have won the world cup can also be termed as having a star-studded team. The midfield and the attack is comprised of Barcelona players, such as Aitana Bonmat, Alexia Putellas, and Salma Paralluelo. This combination of technical perfection combined with youth also makes them one of the feared teams in the tournament.

Germany, who have won Women Euro more than any other team in the history, eight times to be clear, come in with a younger side keen to make it back to their former glory. The veterans such as Sara Däbritz and Giulia Gwinn will be accompanied by the emerging talents of Jule Brand and Klara Buel, which is composed to offer an exciting blend of experience and speed.

France, on the other hand, looks just as powerful, and Marie-Antoinette Katoto will drive the attack with the help of Grace Geyoro and Sakina Karchaoui taking the midfield. Some of the stars of the leading clubs such as PSG and Lyon in France play in it, which is also indicative of the domestic power of football in the country.

Sweden and Iceland: Dark Horses with Potential

Do not rule out Sweden and Iceland who have equally revealed stellar players. Sweden will also rely on mature international talents such as Fridolina Rolf (Barcelona) and Stina Blackstenius (Arsenal) and Magdalena Eriksson will provide leadership at the rear. Full of grit and team efforts, Iceland will have Dagny Brynjarsdottir (West Ham) and Gl jD Hansson (Bayern Munich). Both the teams will be facing strongly favored countries in the group stages and Sweden have one of the difficult groups to pass with France and Poland.

Belgium with their veterans in form of Tessa Wullaert (Inter Milan) and Janice Cayman (Leicester City) present a balanced as well as an attacking players side. In the meantime, Poland counts on Barcelona striker Ewa Pajor to highly contribute to goals, and as PSG, Paulina Dudek is the leader of their defense.

Not being traditional favorites, these teams are good enough to spoil favorites just having several players who are playing in the best leagues of Europe.
