BLACKPINK Breaks Record By Hitting 90 Million YouTube Subscribers

BLACKPINK, a popular South Korean girl band formed by YG Entertainment, consisting of members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, has hit over 90 million subscribers on YouTube.

According to YG Entertainment, a South Korean multinational entertainment agency, BLACKPINK gained an additional 10 million subscribers within a year. 

BLACKPINK’s channel was launched on YouTube in 2016. It took the group 7 years to hit 90 million subscribers. By June 2020, BLACKPINK had become the first non-English language artiste to be ranked on YouTube’s top five list of most subscribers. In September 2021, the  K-Pop group BLACKPINK was named as the artiste with the most subscribers in the globe.

With additional 10 million subscribers, the group broke their own record of the 80 million subscribers feat that Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa had set last year.

BLACKPINK, the most popular band, debuted in 2016 with their single album ‘Square One’. The Group’s “Ice Cream” (2020) was listed on the US Billboard Hot 100. Their second studio album Born Pink (2022) became the best-selling album of all time by a female act in South Korea. It was ranked at number one on the Billboard 200.

According to reports, Starbucks Korea is also set to launch their collaborative collection with BLACKPINK. The collection includes a cold cup made of metallic pink colour, a water bottle featuring the BLACKPINK’s song titles, a gradation flip tumbler, and an all-black cold cup.

Lisa’s cup is made up of stainless steel. It can reportedly maintain the cold temperature of the drink is top class. It also contains rhinestone material. It costs about $75.00 USD.
