According to his agency, SM Entertainment, EXO’s Kai, real name Kim Jong-in, is planning to enlist in the military this May. On May 7th, the K-pop singer will begin his mandatory military service, which is compulsory of all able-bodied men in South Korea.

Kai is the sixth EXO member to join the military, joining Xiumin, D.O., Suho, and Chen. His enlistment will put a short halt to his career as a performer, but he is anticipated to return to the industry once his duty is completed.
