Frenchman facing death and chemical castration in Indonesia for abusing 305 children

A French citizen, Francois Abello Camille aka FAC, was arrested by the Indonesian police for his acts of sexual abuse of 305 children.

The Directorate General of Criminal Investigation at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police revealed the cases of sexual exploitation (child sex groomer) by FAC conducted in a number of hotels in West Jakarta.

FAC, 65, targeted street children with the mode of offering them to be photo models. FAC was targeting children between the ages of 10 and 17 who usually gather in shopping centers or malls.

The victims who fall into the trap will be dressed and undergo a photo session. After that, the perpetrator will launch a depraved act against minors who are victims.

Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Nana Sudjana said the case was successfully revealed based on reports from the public regarding the information of a foreigner who often carried out obscene acts offering a photoshoot to children at the Prinsen Park Hotel, Mangga Besar, West Jakarta.

Based on these reports the police conducted an investigation and raids. Even when officers caught FAC red-handed, he was in a hotel room with two under-aged girls in naked condition.

“In the room, the investigators found a perpetrator in a half-naked condition with two children in naked and half-naked conditions,” said  Nana at a press conference at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Jakarta, Thursday, July 9.

“There are already 17 (victims) that we can identify which are indeed among those aged 13 and 17 years, indeed among them yes,” Nana said.

According to Nana, the range of money given by perpetrators to victims varies. The nominal money starts from Rp 250 thousand to Rp 1 million. In fact, the perpetrators also did not hesitate to torture victims who refused to have intercourse.

Nana said, based on the results of the investigation it was known that FAC was suspected of molesting as many as 305 people underage. It was known based on FAC’s obscene video footage of a number of victims who were stored on his laptop.

“This is based on video data that is on the laptop in the form of a film. So all the data (victims) are there, video actors. There are (cameras) videos that are hidden in the room when (the perpetrators) take action,” said Nana.

When making an arrest, Nana detailed his side also confiscated a number of items of evidence. Some of the evidence seized including; 21 costumes worn by victims for shooting and making obscene videos, six cameras, one laptop, six memory cards, 20 condoms, and two sex aids or vibrators.

For his actions, the police alleged FAC with Article 81 Paragraph (5) jo Article 76D of Law No. 1/2006 concerning the second amendment to Law No. 23/2002 on Child Protection. The threat of punishment is capital punishment, life imprisonment, or a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 20 years and can be subject to chemical castration.
