Jisoo of the South Korean girl group BLACKPINK will soon make her solo debut.
Monday, January 2, YG Entertainment stated that BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is now hard at work recording her solo album.
According to a report from Soompi, Jisoo has completed the picture session for her album jacket and is currently working on the music production for the album. She would soon provide excellent news to her admirers, YG Entertainment was cited as saying.
The title and release date of the album have not yet been revealed.
Jisoo will be the final BLACKPINK member to have a solo debut. Jennie’s single “Solo” was published in November 2018, Rosé’s single album R was released in March 2021, and Lisa’s album Lalissa was released in September 2021.
With addition to music, Jisoo has also dabbled in acting. Her acting debut was a cameo in the 2015 television series The Producers, while her first starring part was in the 2021 drama Snowdrop.
BLACKPINK, who debuted in August 2016, is well-known for songs like “Pink Venom,” “As If It’s Your Last,” and “How You Like It.” On March 25 and 26, they will perform a two-night concert at the Philippine Arena.
