‘Kanta’, a Brand New Short Drama Platform Will Soon Be Launched in Japan!

RIDI is a content unicorn corporation company which is based in South Korea and they have planned to launch a new online streaming platform in Japan exclusively for the short drama. RIDI has the history of presenting the superhit stories to the Japanese audiences and their previous success is expected to definitely contribute to their new launch ‘Kanta’. 

The short form of entertaining content is receiving a wider range of good responses from the global audiences and their landing into the world of short drama will encounter rapid growth. Some of the recent data regarding the downloads of short drama among the common audiences has been recorded in a higher range. And this is expected to exceed 950 million in the upcoming days. 

“We are happy to be able to deliver a new type of drama to the Japanese market through Kanta. We will continue to expand the production and investment of original content and deliver interesting and moving works” said CEO of RIDI, Bae Ki-sik.

‘Kanta’ is expected to deliver diverse stories that are created around various themes. From the official launch from August 2025 they have decided to release more than three new short dramas every week and the original contents under their production is scheduled to premier every month. Along with their platform launch they have unveiled the release of brand new short drama “Chief Jeong, the Cyber Salaryman”.
