MACC charges Jho Low, 2 others of criminal conspiracy

KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has reportedly informed the Interpol of its arrest warrants for three individuals wanted for engaging in a criminal conspiracy with former prime minister Najib Razak into the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal.

Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Chief (MACC) commissioner Latheefa Koya said the interpol was notified on the three suspects: Low Taek Jho, PetroSaudi International directors Patrick Mahony and Tarik Obaid.

MACC charged the three individuals with criminal conspiracy in abetting a total of RM286 million was linked to 1MDB and SRC International.

Latheefa said that the commission needs to file a warrant of arrest since they are not in the country. She told the reporters that this is part of the recovery into the 1MDB and SRC international scandal. That they are charging those people who may have access on those money.
