Netflix has launched a new anime series based on Bryan Lee O’Malley’s iconic “Scott Pilgrim” graphic books. Scott Pilgrim: The Animated Series will have an amazing array of voice performers.

In the series, Michael Cera, who portrayed Scott Pilgrim in the 2010 film adaption, will reprise his role. Chris Evans, who will voice the character of Lucas Lee, and a number of other prominent performers will join him.

Netflix is producing the series in conjunction with O’Malley and animation studio Studio TRIGGER. Scott Pilgrim, a teenage slacker and bass guitarist, falls in love with the enigmatic Ramona Flowers, as depicted in the graphic books. Scott must beat her seven nasty ex-boyfriends in dramatic battles in order to regain her heart.

Fans of the graphic novels and the film adaptation are very enthusiastic about the announcement. Many are excited to see how the story will be adapted into the anime medium and how the outstanding voice cast will bring the characters to life.

In a statement, O’Malley stated, “The universe of Scott Pilgrim is a natural fit for anime, and I’m excited to be collaborating with Netflix and Studio TRIGGER to bring it to life.”

In 2024, “Scott Pilgrim: The Animated Series” will debut on Netflix. With its strong cast and excellent production crew, the series is certain to be a huge hit with manga and anime lovers both.
