Six arrested for violating home quarantine.

KUALA LUMPUR – The police authorities have arrested six individuals for breaching the home quarantine protocols/ requirements, says Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

While the offense was not specified, individual under self quarantine should not be allowed to go out and gather with family members in the house.

They will also be required to undergo Covid-19 screening on the 13th day of quarantine and must wear PPEs at all times in public places.

These violations has prompted the government to place the repatriated Malaysians to designated quarantine facilities starting July 24. Those who were already allowed to do home quarantine will be permitted to finish their mandatory quarantine until the endi of the 14th day.

According to Ismail, The police and health officers were able to conduct 2,271 checks on individuals under home quarantine.

3,384 Malaysians who returned home from overseas were already placed in 14 hotels spread out across the cities. Separately, the police arrested 134 violators yesterday. The police also conducted checks on 2,294 mosques to monitor if there is strict compliance and adhering to the standard operating procedures currently implemented by the government.
