What Is the SSS LoanLite Micro Loan Program?

The SSS launched the micro loan facility, called LoanLite, to make it easier for its members to access emergency financing, especially for those who are self-employed and members of the voluntary retirement group and group whose earnings are low. The program offers a variety of benefits over conventional salary loans, including shorter repayment terms, competitive interest rates, and streamlined eligibility requirements.

Loan repayment terms vary from 15 days up to as long as 90 days so that the borrower can pay the loan according to his/her financial capacity. Application to fund disbursement is all done electronically.

Who Is Eligible for SSS LoanLite?

When applying, members must ensure they are eligible for the SSS LoanLite program. The applicant must have 6 monthly payments or contributions made and received within the previous year leading up to the month of proposal/Application. This contribution requirement enables the system to decide if a member is qualified to be in the program.

Members must also have an active My.No outstanding penalties on defaulted Salvation Mint and Calamity loan, SSS account and verified disbursement account, and no Salary loan enrolled through Disbursement Account Enrollment Module. Step by Step Guide to Apply for the SSS LoanLite Micro Loan Program

To apply for the SSS LoanLite Micro Loan Program, follow the steps given below.

Step 1: Log In to Your My.SSS Account

Open up SSS website (SSS portal) or the official SSS Mobile App for your mobile phone. Enter your Member ID and Password into the Member ID and Password field to enter your Member Dashboard.

Members that don’t have an online account should register their details.Registering with SSS prior to loan application.

Step 2: Access the LoanLite Application

Once logged in, click the E-Services tab of the site’s dashboard. From the list of loan types, click on Apply for Loans, and then click on LoanLite Micro Loan Program.

A check of your contribution history and account status are done automatically. Once you’ve responded positively, you will display on another page showing you what loans you’re eligible to choose from.

Step 3: Select Your Loan Amount and Repayment Term

The loan amount of qualified applicants can range from ₱1,000 to ₱20,000 depending on their overall contribution record and Monthly Salary Credit (MSC).

Additionally, you will choose the loan’s repayment period – this can be any of the payback options listed: from 15 days to 30 days, 60 days or 90 days. Please read the repayment schedule carefully for interest, repayment due dates etc. before continuing on.

Step 4: Choose Your Disbursement Account

Next, you have to choose where the proceeds from your loan, if approved, will go. The DAEM offers members options to account (previously verified with the DAEM) or existing wallets supported (such as GCash and Maya).

Carefully review the account details before applying to avoid the possibility of unwarranted delays getting your money.

Step 5: Complete OTP Verification

Upon inspection of your application information, SSS will send you a One-Time Password (OTP) via your registered cell phone.

Provide 6 digit authentication code and also submit loans electronically by signing the loan application. If accepted, the system will provide a confirmation receipt and email you a Loan Disclosure Statement to your email address.

Tips for Faster Loan Approval

A frequently cited application delay is inability to pay disbursement funds via an account that has resisted verification. Please ensure that your envisaged bank account/e-wallet is already approved under the DAEM before submitting for LoanLite.

The applicants on the night are also urged to avail of SSS Mobile App during peak traffic in the website. The mobile application normally performs better in terms of requests being handled and has less slowdowns than its desktop counterpart.

It is also crucial that the loan amount is repaid in the time frame that you have agreed upon. LoanLite rates will be available at competitive interest rates, however, SSS will charge the standard fee of 1% monthly on any outstanding balance due for late payments.
