Syed Saddiq offered scholarship into Singapore’s Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy

KUALA LUMPUR – Muar MP and Former Malaysian youth minister Syed Saddiq confirmed on Sunday that he has been offered a scholarship placement at the prestigious Lee Kuan Yew’s Senior Fellowship in Public Service program at the National University of Singapore (NUS).

Saddiq announced is admittance into the School’s Senior Fellowship in Public Service Programme in a Facebook post. The program will start tomorrow.

He said that he’s been keeping the news to himself since June but since the classes will start tomorrow via online, he decided to share the good news with his friends.

He further added that as a youth, there’s so much to learn and expand his capabilities to serve the community.

His involvement in politics has resulted to him skipping his masters degree in University of Oxford.

This program will help the Muar MP to sharpen his Public Policy skills while serving the Malaysian people.

The Senior Fellowship programme will run for three weeks until October 9 before resuming its 2nd part for another three weeks until April 9, 2021.

The programme boast a rigorous curriculum that aims to develop leadership and governance of the enrolled participant while equipping them the right tools to take on challenges at a global level. The program costs a minimum of SGD41,000 (RM124,336), but Saddiq has managed to to secure a scholarship for the 6-week program through his qualifications.
