Min-su, Jerome, and Woong-gi will depart the band, and three new members will join TO1.
According to a Soompi report, TO1’s agency said in a translated official statement, they were open to all directions and tried to find the best solution, and after continuous discussion. TO1 decided to take on new challenges through the re-establishment of team identity and refining the direction of the team.
Former Produce 101 Japan Season 2 competitors Daigo and Renta, as well as Yeo-jeong, TO1’s new youngest member, have been brought to the group in place of Min-su, Jerome, and Woong-gi, who have decided to “prepare for a new start.”
WAKEONE Entertainment stated, “We ask for a lot of support for all the TO1 members, including those who have left the group and are preparing for a new start and members who are new to the team.”
TO1 began as TOO (Ten Oriented Orchestra) on April 1, 2020, with members Jae-yun, Dong-geon, Chan, Jisu, J.You, Kyung-ho, Chi-hoon, Minsu, Jerome, and Woong-gi. TO1 was formed by the K-pop survival show WORLD KLASS. In March 2021, the group changed its name to TO1.
Chi-hoon departed the group and ended his contract with WAKEONE Entertainment in April 2022.
