True, the actual green tea flavor in the matcha mousse does not overshadow the cake; there is only a trace of its characteristic bitterness, which is matched by the cake’s light and creamy white chocolate foundation and sweet, crisp Oreo crust.
CODY’s utilized only one layer of matcha mousse because they wanted to “create the right balance between the sweetness of white chocolate and the vegetal taste of pure and quality matcha powder.” The cake is beginner-friendly for people who like to discover Japan’s distinctive flavor, as its flavor is not overpowering and is balanced by layers of white chocolate ganache.
