KUALA LUMPUR – According to Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is most likely to lead the country instead of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Former deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said that while the coalition has not been decided yet, it will most likely be Anwar who will get the votes.

The possibility of a snap election is also not too far-fetched, Wan Azizah said Harapan will be ready for any circumstances and will just wait and see how things will unfold.

“Everything looks to be so uncertain, so insecure, so fragile.” She added.

Wan Azizah was also ask if whether she is open to receiving back those who had defected from the coalition, she reportedly said “Betrayal is quite difficult to accept in any circumstances. Betrayal is still betrayal.”. Mahathir reiterated on several occasions that he will pass the premiereship to Anwar by November but was urged for a May deadline.
