West Jakarta Mayor Recovering After Positive COVID-19

West Jakarta Mayor Uus Kuswanto is currently recovering after being infected with Covid-19 at Pertamina Central Hospital, South Jakarta.

Uus is one of the Provincial Government of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta officials who is positive for Covid-19. He said he was recovering and had left the treatment room.

“Thank God, I am getting better, I have left the treatment room,” said Uus, Friday, September 25.

Currently, Uus is waiting for a swab test again to confirm that he is negative for COVID-19, or has recovered.

There are several officials from the Provincial Government of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta who had tested positive for COVID-19.

They are the Head of the City Parks and Forests of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, Suzy Marsitawati, the Head of the Education and Spiritual Bureau of the Regional Secretariat for the Special Capital Region of Jakarta (currently Deputy Mayor of East Jakarta) Hendra Hidayat, the Head of the Regional Secretariat for the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, Premi Lesari.

Also, Assistant to the Regional Secretariat for the Special Capital Region of Jakarta (currently Assistant Deputy Governor for Tourism) Reswan W. Soewardjo, Head of Urban Planning and Environment Bureau Afan Adriansyah, and Chairman of the Governor’s Team for the Acceleration of Development (TGUPP) Amin Subekti.

Previously, these officials did couple swab tests and have returned to their activities in good condition.

Meanwhile, there are still some officials that they are currently in the treatment phase. They are the President Director of the Pasar Jaya Regional Company (PD) Arief Nasruddin, Acting Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Office Gumilar Ekalaya, and Assistant Deputy for Culture Catur Laswanto.
