Isaac Rouse Young Bond has brought a fresh sound to Britain’s legendary secret agent. A new full-cast audio drama in the Big Finish Productions/Ian Fleming Publications line, Young Bond: SilverFin, will have Rouse as the teenage James Bond, the companies have revealed. The play is based on Charlie Higson’s bestselling novel, which chronicles Bond’s early exploits before he becomes the iconic 007.
Isaac Rouse Young Bond Casting Officially Confirmed
After auditioning over 500, Big Finish announced Rouse’s casting on August 17, 2026. The actor has recently worked in The Crown, Get Even and Genius. The official Big Finish announcement said director Barnaby Edwards “loved Rouse’s ability to portray Bond’s intelligence, vulnerability and determination.
Young Bond SilverFin Story and Characters Explained
SilverFin takes young James Bond on adventures at his school at Eton College when he meets with perilous threats and a strange secret. On the way the adventure eventually leads him to Scotland’s Loch Silverfin. The official production listing tells of a story of suspense and mystery, of what happens to create the personality of Bond for the future.
Charlotte McBurney and Supporting Cast Revealed
Charlotte McBurney is playing Wilder Lawless, the adventurous ally of Bond, and Charlie Higson is playing Eton tutor Michael Merriot. Other artists include Miriam Margolyes, Tim McInnerny, Miranda Raison and Paterson Joseph. The September casting announcement also showed William Hope as Lord Hellebore, adding to the cast of villains and other characters.
Young Bond SilverFin Release Date and Audio Format
Young Bond: SilverFin will be launched on 29th October 2026 with 16 half hour episodes in two box sets. Volumes are £24.99 (digital) or £35.99 (with a collector’s CD). The most recent Big Finish update features Rouse at Eton College in period costume for a photoshoot.
