There is an important requirement when planning a trip to Bali 2026 and that is the digital one. The “All Indonesia” e-Arrival Card, a single online immigration system that is replacing the old paper immigration slip, customs form and health declaration, has been officially implemented in Indonesia. It must be completed by all international travellers, children and infants included, prior to their arrival.

The new system is aimed at speeding up the arrival process at the airport and improving it in an organized manner. The holders of the QR code will instead fill out just one form for both immigration and customs as well as for health screening during or after their flight.

Why Indonesia Introduced the e-Arrival Card?

The tourism industry in Indonesia is on the continuous growth phase in 2026, particularly in the island destinations such as Bali, Jakarta, and Lombok. The digital arrival system was implemented by the government to decrease the congestion and enhance the efficiency of the process at the border.

The new system will integrate the intelligence on immigration, customs declarations and health checks into a single stream. Now, once their flights arrive, travelers only have to use one QR code.

Important Rules Before You Travel

The All Indonesia e-Arrival Card is valid and can only be filled within 72 hours prior to arrival in Indonesia only! Submissions that are made before the time allotted is automatically rejected.

There are no charges whatsoever. Travelers can only use the official government’s website, All Indonesia Immigration Portal.

Tourists should not be tempted to use 3rd parties that include “processing fees.” The Indonesian government does not approve that any agencies outside the country can conduct the submission process.

Documents You Need Before Starting

Please ensure that your passport has a minimum of 6 months in its validity period from your due date of arrival before opening the form. Three additional things you will need is your airline name, flight number, and a flight leaving from.

Travelers are required to give the exact address of their first Hotel, Villa, Hostel or Resort in Bali. Those who have already been issued an Indonesian e-VOA should already have an e-VOA approval number on hand.

Step 1: Steps for access to the Official Portal.

Go to the official All Indonesia immigration website, or download the official mobile application. Select English as the language option and hit “Start Declaration”. No register or sign-up required. Frequent visitors can start treatment right away.

Step 2: Select Your Traveler Category

The “Foreign Visitor” category should be the choice of most visitors from outside the country. The separate domestic option is required for Indonesians and residents.

Care must be exercised in selecting the right category, as this will depend on the questions that apply during the immigration process.

Step 3: Enter Passport and Personal Details

Enter your personal information in the same way as it is on your passport. It comprises your full name, country of origin, passport number, sex and date of expiry of the passport.

The mobile application allows a traveller to scan the machine readable zone of the passport with his cell phone’s camera. With this feature most of the required fields are populated automatically.

Step 4: Flight and Accommodation Information

Then, you need to put in some travel information; such as the airport you’re landing on and the exact flight number. Those who need to come to Bali should choose Ngurah Rai International Airport.

You need to supply the full address of your first housing. Don’t give an incomplete hotel name over the phone, using only the street name.

Step 5: Fill out the Health Declaration

The system is the replacement of the Health declaration forms that were previously introduced in Indonesia to be used for Satusehat. Several very basic questions about the traveler’s recent travel, fever, and respiratory symptoms are answered.

It takes most visitors less than a minute to complete this. The information is collected, used by authorities for public health monitoring and for border safety.

Step 6: Fill Out the Customs Declaration

The customs section wants to know if you have any restricted or taxable items when you’re bringing them into Indonesia. Travelers are responsible for notifying customs of alcohol, cigarettes, significant amounts of cash, commercial goods, plants, animals or prescription medicines if they discover they are carrying any.

Step 7: Add Family Members to a video and submit it

The “Add Family Member” option can be used by families travelling together in advance of the submission. This enables Parent and Children/Dependants to be included in 1 session, rather than creating multiple processes.

Please note that all information should be checked thoroughly before submission and you are unlikely to be able to make edits after you’ve confirmed.

Bali Airport Arrival Process in 2026

Once the passengers check in at Ngurah Rai International Airport they will pass the immigration control with their passport and visa clearance.

Following the collection of bags, the passengers are led to the customs where they do the scanning of the All Indonesia QR code. Once verified, the travelers can be taken out of the airport as usual.

Many travellers think that the e-Arrival Card covers Bali’s tourism tax but it does not. These are two totally distinct systems.

The e-Arrival Card is a free immigration card issued on the national level, which among other things is waived during a COVID visit to Bali, whereas the Bali tourism levy is a regional charge imposed by Bali’s provincial government.
