Supporters of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim gathered on Sunday night at his residence to attend prayers on the new political landscape.
Both Muslims and non-Muslims, supporters attend prayer rally at Anwar’s residence party that began at 5pm.
As posted on the social media page of PKR, “They plan, God also plans. And verily God is the best of all planners. To all friends and comrades in the struggle, let us all gather at Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s house in Segambut starting 6pm today (Sunday, Feb 23).”
It is normal for religious activities like prayers and sermons to happen in Segambut, but Sunday night’s event is more evident than usual.
Prior to this, among those sighted in the are are PKR MPs Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Datuk Abdullah Sani Abdul Hamid, Fahmi Fadzil, Wong Chen. Anwar, however, will not address anything to the media.
