‘Baribara’ Will go off the Air from March 2025 on NHK Educational TV

“Baribara” is widely known as ‘Barrier-Free Variety’ and is enjoyed by the Japanese people which includes both adults and younger audiences. The aim of this show is to educate people with a variety of content that talks about the people with disabilities, their regular life, activity, social participation, cultural endeavors. It helped a lot to provoke a new perspective among the individuals and a clear understanding. 

‘Baribara’ broke the social barriers around the people with disabilities and it fostered the awareness, importance of coexistence with creative episodes everyday. This show was initially aired in April, 2010, on the NHK Educational TV. The broadcaster has officially announced about their final episode, streaming time and other heartfelt messages on their official website.

“It has been 15 years since the show began airing monthly in April 2010. We have been able to continue broadcasting for so long thanks to all the people involved and those involved who cooperated in the production, and all the viewers who supported the show. Thank you very much. 

As a token of our appreciation to you all, we will be delivering the final episode in a two-part series.”
