BEIJING – A Chinese hospital in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, launched a cross-border medical platform to further step up medical cooperation between Beijing and ASEAN countries.
The China-ASEAN Cross-Border Medical Cooperation Platform was initiated by First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University with the cooperation of Microsoft, Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics Co and China UnionPay.
The one-stop platform offers full-life-cycle medical services that can be accessible to patients from ASEAN countries. It will provide medical financing services thus making is convenient for ASEAN patients to pay their medical bills.
The consuls general of six ASEAN countries congratulated the successful launch and he said that the platform will contribute and enhanced healthcare cooperation between ASEAN countries and China.
Hoang Ngoc Vinh, consul general at the Vietnamese consulate in Nanning said that he hopes that this platform will develop extensively and become a primary effective medical care communication center for community health. The platform will be providing medical financing services covering 96 countries and regions.
