On Friday, Greenhills Center Management told the public that it is taking precautionary measures against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), after two new cases in the country have been confirmed.
Earlier health authorities announced that one person— a 62-year-old Philippine male — frequently visited a prayer hall in Barangay Greenhills.
The other COVID-19 participant, the Department of Health (DOH) said, is a 48-year-old Filipino male with a travel history from Japan.
Greenhills Mall is putting in place precautionary measures to ensure our shoppers, tenants and employees’ safety.
The management of the mall works and cooperates with the DOH and the San Juan city government.
The management also advised people who show signs of COVID-19 to contact health authorities.
“Rest assured that our shoppers, visitors, workers and the public’s health and safety are our top priority,” said San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora, who has instructed Greenhills management to disinfect the mall to avoid further spread of the virus.
Zamora has also requested that the prayer hall be immediately disinfected and temporarily closed.
The Department of Health (DOH) and the San Juan City Government are now conducting touch tracing to establish who has been in contact with this patient since he showed symptoms.
