Reliable leaks reveal Samsung Galaxy S26 series faces a price hike amid global memory shortages, with Asia pre-orders kicking off February 26, 2026. Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra will be released on Unpacked on February 25 in San Francisco and will be available in stores on March 11 worldwide. Korean news reports that Ultra pricing can be over 2 million KRW (~$1,500), more than S25 at 1,299, since the cost of components is rising, which Samsung promises to cover where possible, but concedes that there are increases that are unavoidable. Base S26 rumored at $799-$859, Plus $999-$1,059. Extra amenities such as two-fold storage may be reduced due to Pre-order perks. The buzz gets generated around Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, improved cameras, although there are no significant design changes. This makes S26 take a position against iPhone 17 as a premium Android race.
Price hike stems from memory chip surges affecting all flagships; Samsung eyes cost absorption, but Korea sees 44,000-88,000 KRW increases per model. The US prices will reach S25 prices.
Pre-order date February 26 aligns with Korea’s schedule: orders to March 4, pre-sale March 5-10, open sales March 11. Asia leads global rollout.
