Head of Operations Office of PT Aplikasi Karya Anak Bangsa (Gojek), Hans Patuwo said that the company has prepared an Income Assistance Program scheme for the drivers who are positively infected by Covid-19, which they cannot work and must get treatment.

Not only that, in order to relieve ojol partners who are undergoing maintenance, his side will stop a number of running installments such as vehicle payments and insurance premiums ojol drivers during the treatment.

“For that reason, in the last week or after the government announced Covid-19 as a Non-Natural National Disaster on March 14, we have made various efforts to provide support to our driver partners to maintain their financial stability during this difficult time,” said Hans in his written statement, Sunday (3/22/2020).

As a form of protection, Gojek also equips the drivers with hand sanitizers, masks, multivitamins, body temperature marker cards to spray disinfectant liquid on ojol driver vehicles.

Furthermore, for the sake of safety, Gojek also appeals to all consumers to use personal helmets and use hand sanitizers, also not allowing them to dispose of used masks in the GoCar driver’s car.

As a token of appreciation for ojol drivers who are still active in serving, Hans invites all consumers to give more tips with the call #KasihLebihan (provide more tips).

“Realizing our driver partners are increasingly becoming the mainstay of society in times that require limited space for this movement, Gojek through the #KasihLebihan campaign, gives more freedom to our service users to give tips to driver partners,” said Hans.

Hans explained that this was implemented by giving an additional option of a tip of up to Rp 100,000 in the Gojek application.
