In 2026, Bangkok is getting a new walkable reason to explore the city! A unique promotion by Huawei and Siam Piwat is giving international tourists a free 500-baht Siam Gift Card for wandering around Bangkok with the use of Huawei wearable devices.
The campaign is interactive, runs from May 6 to August 31, 2026, and is fitness- and shopping-centered tourism. Users who walk 2,000 steps with Huawei wearable devices will be able to get exclusive rewards at some of the most iconic shopping centres in Thailand, such as Siam Paragon and ICONSIAM.
The campaign has already started to become one of the top-travel buzzes of the year in Bangkok, particularly among travellers seeking on-demand special discounts.
This campaign is joint production between Huawei and Siam Piwat, owner of many luxury malls and lifestyle centres in Bangkok.
The mission is easy: entice visitors to explore Bangkok while at the same time spreading the message of healthy tourism via gadgets they wear. In terms of incentives for travelers, the program is based on a different approach: If you’re active and exploring the city, you’re rewarded for that, not with conventional tourist prices.
Successful users will get a Siam Gift Card worth a free 500 baht once arriving at the required step count, and registering into the ONESIAM Global Visitor.
Promotion is applicable to those tourists who only come to Thailand during the promotion period.
The process is quite simple and only requires users who are already using the smartwatches or fitness products like the NO.2 Huawei Watch Active from Huawei.
Visitors must first download the HUAWEI Health app and link up with the ONESIAM Global application. After the registration, tourists only have to take 2,000 steps exploring Bangkok.
Once the requirement is fulfilled, users can redeem their steps at a number of redemption counters by using the HUAWEI Health app. Then it will be ready for claiming at:
The gift card can be used in shopping, dining and participating stores within Siam Piwat destinations.
Interactive travel is increased in Asian tourism campaigns instead of traditional promotions. For instance, rather than just discounts, brands are designing gamified experiences that merge the technology, well-being, and local explorations of the customer.
In terms of shopping districts and lifestyle areas, Bangkok is one of the most walkable major cities especially in Southeast Asia. When it comes to walking between malls, cafes and attractions, locations with the Siam theme, like the Chidlom Siam and ICONSIAM, naturally invite tourists to stroll.
Participation in the act of walking, visiting demonstrations and exhibitions is a form of entertainment that can directly and actually benefit those who participate.Huawei and Siam Piwat are making every tourist activity an opportunity to benefit financially.
It also showcases the rise of wearable tech integrating into the travel experience itself, particularly with younger travelers and travelers who without a doubt value digital first.

The best places to do the challenge have everything they need are the main lifestyle and shopping districts of Bangkok.
Siam area is perfect as it allows you to walk between Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery, all of which are within a few steps of walking as well as all the cafes. The Riverside neighborhoods near ICONSIAM are worth walking around too – there are restaurants and markets along the river.
For those living near Sukhumvit or Chidlom, you can also have 2,000 steps while going around the malls, the BTS stations and the night markets.
This is a relatively small challenge with 2000 steps and most tourists can complete these steps in 20-30 minutes of casual walking.
This Bangkok campaign is part of a wider travel pattern that’s developing throughout Asia in 2026. The tourism boards and the lifestyle brands are more and more promoting the ‘wellness tourism’, which combines fitness, walking and outdoor exploration to the touristic experience.
Travelers are now encouraged to actively explore a destination rather than spend the whole vacation inside a transport vehicle or a mall, rather giving it a chance to observe the surroundings by walking.
The Huawei wearable campaign perfectly caters to this trend by combining several aspects of travel with shopping, tech and wellness experience.
Even simple sightseeing can pay off in 2026 as Bangkok introduces its new campaign and us, as its wearable users. International visitors who simply take 2,000 steps in either of Thailand’s two most popular shopping hubs are eligible for a second offer: Free Shopping credits with an array of stores.
With the rise of “technofication” and “experiential promotions” in the tourism industry, more promotions that incorporate this type of promotion are bound to emerge in Asia. If you’re traveling to Bangkok this year, you may find it to be one of the simplest methods you have to appreciate the city in addition to shopping outfits a little more.
