The educational institutions Green Field School based in Dehradun established a significant international partnership which links them to Jiyugaoka Gakuen High School located in Tokyo Japan for educational collaboration. The 2nd Virtual Student Interaction Programme held on 19 February serves to develop “Global Citizens” under this student partnership.

Dr. Tomoko Imai at Jiyugaoka Gakuen High School believes the initiative holds great importance while serving as an OECD Future of Education 2030 initiative leader and board member. The organization intends to promote enhanced national relations between friendly nations by implementing virtual student exchange opportunities. The organization remains dedicated to enhancing its relationship with Green Field School Dehradun and extending its operation throughout India according to its leader.

Vicky Charissi at Harvard University as a Research Fellow and previous European Commission Research Scientist designed the programme under his supervision. AI plays a key part in education according to her presentation “Our work examines child development and educational learning when children interact with AI systems and social robots.” The collaboration examines how social robots serve as tools to improve teamworking abilities between children who belong to different cultural backgrounds. The educational program which was initiated in Uganda already exists.

Green Field School Principal Reena Jaggi expressed her joy about the initiative as she brings expertise in Inclusive Education to the school. Students at our institution have access to engage with international experts on significant worldwide assignments. The Arizona State University USA leads efforts on inclusion work at Green Field School while the school maintains multiple organization partnerships in the Netherlands region,” she explained.

Through this initiative students will gain international insights while learning advanced communication skills while having the chance to work with innovative educational technologies.
