The gown is the contemporary reinterpretation of the legendary Nuit a Londres that was first designed in 1960 by Pierre Balmain to Greece Queen Mother Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, in Thailand. This historical reverberation brought to the fore the 170-year diplomatic relationship between Thailand and France through the high fashion medium.
Created and designed by Olivier Rousteing, the masterpiece is adorned with gorgeous gold brocades of Thai silk exquisitely in Yok Thong and chartreuse. This specific Lisa custom Balmain ensemble was meticulously draped to mirror the regal silhouettes favored by the royal court in the mid-20th century.
