Malaysians evacuated from Wuhan arrive at KLIA

KUALA LUMPUR –  The AirAsia flight carrying Malaysians from from Wuhan, China, the epicentre of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCov) outbreak touches down in KLIA on Tuesday.

The special flight 133 passengers which departed from the Wuhan Tianhe International Airport at 1.26am. This comprised of 107 who were stranded along with 12 crewmembers, 8 humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) mission personnel and 6 officers from the Malaysian embassy.

The flight also carried around 500,000 pairs of rubber gloves to help assist the Chinese government in their effort to contain the outbreak. All passengers, upon arrival in Malaysia will be undergoing health screening at the KLIA air disaster unit (ADU).
