Malaysia’s coronavirus cases still at 8

KUALA LUMPUR –  The Health Ministry confirmed that the number of coronavirus in the country remains at eight.

According to health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, The eighth case is a Chinese national aged 49 who was in close contact with the seventh confirmed patient.

Currently there are no local infected with the virus.

Health ministry also were able to identified 32 people in closed contact with the infected and placed them under compulsory quarantine. 27 has been tested negative for the virus while the remaining 5 are currently being monitored. The Coronavirus has now been confirmed in 20 countries in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America.
