PH has COVID-19 Tracking App Available to Use

A developer based in Manila and the Philippines ‘task force against the dreaded disease have introduced an online and smartphone application that can monitor individuals displaying COVID-19 symptoms.

Developed by Multisys Technologies Corporation, StaySafe.ph allows users to disclose both their health status and that of members of their family.

The National Task Force against COVID-19 said in a statement that it was produced at no cost to the National Government.

Multisys founder and chief executive David Almirol Jr. said the platform was built to help the national government, local government agencies, frontline agencies and private companies track residents ‘health status and perform more effective contact tracing.

Almirol said that the application has complied with the Data Privacy Act and would not require users to reveal confidential data.

Users will be asked during the online registration process if they experience any of the COVID-19 symptoms, such as fever, cough, exhaustion, muscle pain, runny nose, sore throat, shortness of breath and diarrhea.

Using the answers of the users, the app will produce a result that will signify mild, moderate, or extreme condition based on the number of symptoms that the user exhibits. The data would then be submitted to a “heat tracker” in the central dashboard of the app, displaying the areas and number of people with symptoms of COVID-19. This is a great invention and help this season.
